Elle a commenc\u00e9 le tir \u00e0 l'arc en 2019 et faisait partie du club de tir \u00e0 l'arc Atlantis \u00e0 Walvis Bay, en Namibie. La d\u00e9funte a tir\u00e9 pour la Namibie dans la cat\u00e9gorie Poulies Femmes Open (CWO). Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 m\u00e9daill\u00e9e d'or aux 12\u00e8mes Championnats d'Afrique de Tir \u00e0 l'Arc \u00e0 Pretoria, RSA en novembre 2022. Sur sa page Facebook, des amis proches, des membres de sa famille et des coll\u00e8gues ont pleur\u00e9 une jeune femme au grand c\u0153ur, une arch\u00e8re talentueuse avec un sourire omnipr\u00e9sent sur le visage. Malgr\u00e9 son handicap, Katelynn n'a jamais perdu l'espoir ni la conviction de devenir une championne. Elle a fi\u00e8rement tir\u00e9 et repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 son pays, la Namibie, dans diff\u00e9rentes comp\u00e9titions et \u00e9v\u00e9nements internationaux comme le tournoi de qualification Afrique\/Oc\u00e9anie pour les Jeux Paralympiques de Paris 2024 qui a eu lieu \u00e0 Duba\u00ef, aux \u00c9mirats Arabes Unis, en mars 2024, lorsqu'elle s'est class\u00e9e 2e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En cette triste occasion, le pr\u00e9sident de la WAAf, M. Tarik Amiry, au nom de tous les membres du bureau ex\u00e9cutif, du personnel et de la grande famille du tir \u00e0 l'arc africain, pr\u00e9sente ses plus sinc\u00e8res condol\u00e9ances \u00e0 la famille, aux amis et \u00e0 tous ceux qui l'ont connue et ont \u00e9t\u00e9 attrist\u00e9s par sa perte.
