Our archers, too, did a good job as was the case with ANDERSON who seeded 9th out of 13 and scored his season\u2019s best realizing 638 points. Senegal\u2019s DRAME was no exception as he was ranked 28 out of 32 and scored 672 points realizing his personal\u2019s best result so far.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" src=\"http:\/\/waafrica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/457402458_506082775405404_4556984462107894389_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2186\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Aliou DRAME, SEN<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the elimination rounds, RSA\u2019s ANDERSON created the surprise beating Turkey\u2019s AYDIN, who seeded 8th in the ranking round, by just one point 133 \u2013 132 and advanced to the quarterfinals. He lost 136 \u2013 134 after an outstanding performance against China\u2019s ZHANG who seeded first in the ranking round and has just beaten a new Paralympic record.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"http:\/\/waafrica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/DA6_4031-Large-1024x682.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2187\" style=\"width:724px;height:auto\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Shaun ANDERSON, RSA<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For Senegal\u2019s DRAME things did not go as expected as he lost his first match 136 -131 in rainy weather against India\u2019s KUMAR who was ranked 5th in the qualification round. Despite the defeat and elimination, DRAME confirmed the good form he had shown during the qualifications proving that he was well prepared for this event.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"526\" src=\"http:\/\/waafrica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Screenshot-2024-09-01-at-10.37.01\u202fAM-1024x526.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2178\" style=\"width:822px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>As announced before, African archery is not represented in the Paralympic Games by archers only. Our international judge and WAAf&#8217;s Secretary General, Dr Ahmed KOURA, EGY, is proudly representing the African archery judges in the current edition of the games.
