World Archery Level 1 Coaching Course for Africa Started in Cairo, EGY

World Archery and World Archery Africa, in coordination with the Egyptian Archery Federation and the support of Olympic Solidarity (OS), are organizing a World Archery Level-1 coaching course which takes place in Cairo, Egypt, from 4 to 8 August 2025.

The course started today with the participation of (21) coaches representing (5) African Member Associations, including Libya, Mali, Morocco, Zimbabwe, and Egypt.

The course is conducted by Tim Swane – World Archery Coaching Expert, assisted by Mohamed Khairat – Former head coach of the Egyptian Archery National team.

The Opening Ceremony was marked by the attendance of Mr. Ahmed Tarik Amiry, President of World Archery Africa and General Hazem Hosny, Secretary General of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and Mr. Hany Hussien, President of the Egyptian Archery Federation. The World Archery course level 1 aims at enhancing the technical level of coaches, including the general principles of archery. This would enable them to work with any beginner, young, teenager, adult, or disabled.
