World Archery Africa mourns the passing of Mr. Karim Farhat, member of its current Executive Board, former president of the Libyan Archery Federation, and member of the Libyan Olympic Committee. He departed this life after a journey filled with dedication to developing Libyan sports, particularly archery, at both local and continental levels.
He had a prominent role in supporting the sports movement and enhancing Libya’s standing in African and international forums. Although his passing represents a great loss for Libyan and Arab sports, we are sure that his legacy will endure through his achievements, which contributed to organizing championships and nurturing generations.
On this sad occasion, WAAf President and all staff members extend their deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and the Libyan archery family, praying that Allah envelops him in His vast mercy and grants him a place in Paradise.
“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.”
