Guinea Recurve Women’s (RW) archer Fatoumata Sylla scored her season’s best yesterday, realizing 646 points out of possible 720 in Lausanne during the 48th edition of the Lausanne Challenge.
Actually at the World Archery Excellence Center, Lausanne on an Olympic Solidarity scholarship, Sylla has been working hard to improve her shooting technique and achieve the goals set when she joined the Center.
Now that she secured her MQS, Fatoumata has strengthened the chances of being assigned a Universality Place to represent her country, Guinea, in the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The old African record was 639 and it was registered to Lewis Kirstin, RSA in 1996.
